Joy (Hunziker) Ford

Joy
earned four varsity letters in cross country, four in track, and three
in basketball. Joy earned All-MAC honors in cross country all four years
of high school. She won the MAC Cross Country meet during both her
junior and senior year. Joy also won the District Cross Country meet in
1984. She qualified for the Regional Cross Country meet three out of
four years. In Basketball, Joy earned All-MAC honors during her junior
and senior year. Joy scored 1,061 points in her career. She is the first
woman to ever score over 1,000 points in her career at Parkway High
School. Joy was a member of the 1985-86 Regional Runners-up in Girls
Basketball. Joy scored in double figures 58 out of 68 games in her
career. During her senior season Joy averaged 19.7 points per game,
which was second best in Mercer County. She won the MAC in the 1600 and
3200 meter run in girls track. Joy went to State in the 3200 meter run.
