Ted Bollenbacher
Class of 1971
Ted
earned four varsity letters in Baseball, three in Football and two in
Basketball at Parkway High School. He was named Parkway’s Most Valuable
Player in Baseball in 1970 and 1971. Ted threw four no hitters in league
play. In 1970, Ted averaged an amazing 2.3 strikeouts per inning
pitched. He was one of only fifty-eight players in Ohio to be named
All-State in Baseball during the 1971 season. Ted was named to the
Mercer County All-Star Team in 1968, 1969, 1970, and 1971. He was the
first person ever selected to the All-Star Team all four years of high
school. Ted was named Most Valuable Player in Basketball at Parkway
during his senior year. He was also selected to the All Mercer County
Team his senior year. After graduation, Ted attended Rangely College
where he earned two varsity letters in Baseball and won the Most
Valuable Player award in 1973.
