The basic objectives of Spanish I are:                                                    

·         Understand and respect Hispanic American culture.

·         Comprehend Spanish words, phrases, questions, and paragraphs without much difficulty.

·         Read and be able to pronounce the things mentioned in number two.

·         Write simple sentences and paragraphs in Spanish.

·         Speak in Spanish phrases and sentences.

 

Evaluation is based on quizzes, tests, homework, projects, and class participation.

·         The students will expand their knowledge of Spanish grammar and vocabulary to include more verb tenses.

·         Listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish will be used.

·         Understand the cultures and traditions of Spanish - speaking countries.

 

Evaluation is based on quizzes, tests, homework, projects, class participation, and oral proficiency.

·         Strengthen previous knowledge in areas of grammar and tenses.

·         Continue to study the customs of Spanish-speaking countries.

By the end of the year, each student should be able to:                          

·         Understand basic German Syntax                                         

·         Comprehend the meaning of simple German words, sentences, and paragraphs without much difficulty.

·         Read and be able to pronounce German words, sentences and paragraphs without much difficulty.

·         Write simple German sentences, and paragraphs which are grammatically correct.

·         Speak in German phrases and sentences.

·         Recognize the relationship of English and German in both language and culture.

 

Evaluation will be based on quizzes, tests, workbooks, notebooks, projects, and class participation in individual and group work in class.
